Limb Anomaly?

Sometimes we forget that Parker has a limb anomaly.  And I think he forgets, too...or just doesn't know. :)

Eleven months after Parker's stay in the NICU, where we told to contact the Limb Deficiency program when he is pulling to stand, we finally have an appointment to go see the team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in a few weeks. (note: being a music therapist and having always used person-first language, I am not thrilled with the name of this program...will have to mention that to someone on the team at some point).

Anyways, we are a little apprehensive because we really do not know what to expect as far as treatment goes for Parker in the future.  But, we also know that he was born this way as opposed to losing part of his foot in an accident or something, so we do believe that he will adjust and learn to walk exactly the way that he needs to - because he doesn't know anything different!

And while I am giving the Parks update, we have an x-ray for his spine this coming Monday, and will get the results right afterwards at an appointment with his neurosurgeon.  Again, a little nervous but hopeful he is still doing well!

If you think of us, we could use a prayer or 2 during the next few weeks!  And after this round of appointments is finished, it will be .... time for their 1st birthday! :)

Look how far this little guy has come! From the NICU...

 to just being BIG!! :)
