Two Turn One.

It was a big day.  Heck, it was a big weekend!  Parker and Reagan turned ONE last Sunday, April 22nd.  Any child's first birthday is a big deal - a celebration of their life as well as a celebration that their parents made it through the hardest year of being parents.  And we don't feel like we had the hardest year in existence compared to other families out there, but we can say that it was a challenging year in any one's book!  The best and quickest way to review our year would be in numbers (after all, Chris loves numbers).

1 - the number of minutes between the twins' births.
2 - the number of babies we have!
2.5 - the number of weeks Parker was in the Egleston NICU.
3 - the number of weeks I was on bed rest before having P & R.
4 - the number of months that Parker had a colostomy and the number of surgeries that our little Parks' had in 2011.
4.5 - the number of months that my selfless mother lived with us and helped us.
5 - the approximate number of pounds Reagan was when she came home with us.
6 - the amount of toes that Parker has. :)
7 (+29) - the amount of diapers we went through in a day during the first two months of P & R's lives.
8 - the minimum number of bottles made per day during the ages of 3 months - 6 months.
9 - the number of people in both of our immediate families who have been rock stars throughout P & R's first year.
10 - the amount of toes that Reagan has. :)

We threw the twins' their bunny themed party on their actual birthday, and we had a blast celebrating with our friends and family.  Here are some shots of the decorations, food, etc:

Dry erase board welcoming our guests!

And here are some shots of the birthday babies!

Both of our families (we missed you, Brian!!) came up for the weekend to help us with the party and to celebrate with us.  We went out to lunch, made cupcakes, and played until we couldn't play any more!  We know we will have fond memories of their 1st birthday for years to come!

Happy Birthday, Parker & Reagan - we love you more than words can express!!
